myLPFM v3.5 Help from REC Networks

Individual Channel Report

Feature avaialble for REC Clients with a $350 minimum spend.

Introduction

Whenever the icon Search to a New Location or the icon Check for Alternate Channels Search is ran, the result will be the Channel Search. In the results, REC Clients will see an option called Channel Report next to each available channel.

When the Channel Report link is clicked, myLPFM will check, for the channel that was selected, other nearby stations on co-, first- second- and third-adjacent channels as well as intermediate frequency channels (+/- 53 or 54 channels/10.6 or 10.8 MHz) and for Channel Reports on Channels 201~220 (88.1~91.9), Channel 6 TV stations.

Reading the Channel Report

The Channel Report shows for each nearby facility:

  • Freq - The frequency and channel as well as station class.
  • Call Sign - The call sign (or Facility ID) of the station as well as the station type. For FM translators, the 'sub-class' will appear (which §73.807(c) translator service contour distance was used).
  • Community - The community of license as well as the facility status.
  • Distance - The distance and bearing (heading) from the proposed site to the existing station.
  • Fully Spaced - The §73.807 recommended distance for interference free operation.
  • Minimum Required - The §73.807 (or §73.825 for TV) minimum distance separation required.
  • Margin - The difference between the required and actual distances.
  • The applicant/licensee name and file number for that record.

The color bar to the left indicates the channel's status in respect to that station:

  • Green - Station meets §73.807/73.825 minimum minimum distance separation requirements.
  • Yellow - Station meets §73.807 minimum minimum distance separation requirements, but not the recommended distance for interference free service. (LPFM still allowed.)
  • Red - Station does not meet the §73.807/73.825 minimum minimum distance separation requirements.

Clicking on Return to Channel Search Results will return you to the previous screen with the display of all available channels at the location.
