Channel Reject Report
Feature avaialble for all myLPFM users.
This tool will show all 100 FM channels and show the facilities that are preventing a certain channel from being used for LPFM based on the § 73.807 and 73.825 minimum distance separation rules.
To run this report, you will first need to use either the Move LPFM Station or the Check for Alternate Channels Search to run a Channel Search and then on the Channel Search result, you follow the process to include facility details. Then on the Channel Search result, click on the link next to Channel Reject Report.
Reading the Report
This report is very straightforward. It will show the channel and the blocking station(s).
For Channels 201~220 (88.1~91.9 MHz), it will show short-spaced TV Channel 6 stations. If there are no radio facilities also blocking the LPFM channel, then it could be possible with consent of the impacted Channel 6 station or on a waiver basis using a contour study based on the § 74.1205 contour protection rules.
The color bar on the left of the channel number simply indicates the channel's assignment status:
- Red - Channel not available for LPFM.
- Yellow - Channel likely available for LPFM with a second-adjacent channel waiver.
- Green - Channel likely available for LPFM without a second-adjacent channel waiver.
